Stats Explorer
Every pencil, every statistic, in one sortable table. Sort by average to find the strongest, by standard deviation to find the most dependable, or by range to find the wildest — then select a few and compare them directly.
How it works
- Each figure is calculated from all eighteen numbers printed on the barrel.
- Standard deviation measures spread: low is dependable, high is volatile.
- Sorting works on the underlying numbers, not the displayed rounding.
- Select two to four pencils and compare them side by side.
Questions
What does standard deviation tell me?
How far a pencil's numbers typically sit from its own average. A low figure means most rolls land near the middle; a high figure means the pencil swings between very high and very low results.
Why do pencils have similar averages?
The game balances every pencil to the same overall power, so the interest is in how that power is distributed rather than how much of it a pencil has.
